“Uy, galing niya talaga noh?”
“Astig ng boses!, Ang cool!”
“Nuod tayo ulit ng gig niya ah!”
And guess what? They were all talking about this fellow,
Cynthia-Hagart Alexander.
I really have no idea who she is that actually thought she was related with
Cynthia Luster. If not, in the same wavelength.
I’m not the person who usually pries on things I hear. Even if those stuffs are new or unusual to me. But this one is definitely an exception.
So after Ate Jovi blabber about this “sensational” singer for about two solid hours one night,
I was convinced to check her out.
(Ate Jovi happily and whole-heartedly lends her signed cd to me.)
And there was I, clutching Cynthia’s cd as I head home to Baliuag.
After listening to her kind of music, I found myself humming to the tunes of
“U and I” and uttering the words “Fly, you’re a fooooool…”
Gosh, I’ll admit it. She’s cool.
Cynthia’s songs are deep and have a really strong effect to
the people listening to it.
And the lyrics? They’re sooooo poetic.
They weren’t the typical ones that go as simple as
“I can’t live without you...” or “I do love you, babe”
To show hat I have started loving this chick, I came up with my own
“Top Five Fave Songs” from her album, “Rippleyarns”
1. Fly
2. U and I
3. Walked the Roads ( tama ba yung title?!)
4. Intertwyne
5. Owner of the Sky
“Now a hundred years pass,
and we master the game love.
we get straight A’s for heartlessness,
medallions for restraints…”
Oh boy, I can’t believe I’m having a “last song syndrome”
