Happy Valentine's Day..I'm single, so what?

I have to admit that I was actually grinning when I woke up.
Not because it was Valentine's and I'm expecting for a "special someone" at my door with a huge bouquet of flowers, waiting for me to wake up,
(though I did receive some "worth the blush text messages")
but I was happy. Last Monday, TOOcool gang decided to watch concert at the UP sunken garden for our Valentine's date. It was our way to be happy and not be envious of the sappy couples that will be around us that day.
But the moment I enter our classroom,
It went ugly.
That Monday too, we've decided to wear something red today. However, to my dismay, only three of us succumbed to that plan.
I said,"'di ba, red?" and my friends started explaining their reasons for wearing black, purple and fuschia.
I knew getting infuriated was too much, I mean, this is so shallow but I really felt bad that time. Can't help it.I feel so rotten.
I hate it when people, especially those I love break their words.

It was really hard to fake a smile whenever some of them ask me,
"Uy, okay ka lang ba?" and "Galit ka ba?".It was really difficult especially when Alvin was cracking jokes all the while on our way to Mang Jimmy's for lunch.
Thank God, I had my shades on. I swear, naluluha na ko sa kapipigil ng tawa.

However, by 2 o'clock, I think I failed. I realized that yep, I was angry but those people who are so "pasaway" that they wear purple and black when said wear red are my friends. I guess, I love them. And it's hard for me to actually ignore them.

By four pm, we were acting like little rascals.
